This delightful affogato brownie sundae combines the fudgy chocolatey richness of a brownie with the creaminess of your favorite ice cream flavor, all topped with hot espresso. Inspired by the traditional Italian affogato, where espresso is poured over a scoop of gelato, this version adds a rich brownie base for an extra indulgent twist. Customize it with toppings like nuts, chocolate chips, caramel sauce, or warmed-up peanut butter for an extra treat.
Ingredients (for one serving):
- 1 brownie, from a box mix or your favorite recipe
- 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream or gelato
- 1 shot (about 30ml) of espresso, freshly brewed

Instructions:
- Place your brownie in a bowl or glass. Top with flaky salt, if desired.
- Scoop a large scoop of vanilla ice cream, and place over the brownie.
- Pour your hot espresso over the ice cream. The ice cream will start to melt slightly.
- Enjoy!

Notes:
- You can use any flavor of ice cream you like here – coffee ice cream for a double hit of coffee, pistachio for a nutty twist – the options are endless!
- Once you’ve poured the warm espresso over the coffee, it’s best to eat immediately! However, feel free to prep the brownies and ice cream ahead of time.
- Top your affogato brownie sundae with anything you like – nuts, chocolate chips, caramel sauce, or even some warmed-up peanut butter!
